“I belong entirely to you, dear Mother, and all that I have is yours. O Mary, I take you
for my all; give me your heart.”14
– St. Louis de Montfort
The above quotation was the inspiration for the Papal Motto of St. Pope John Paul II: “Totus tuus.” For our Consecration, we will include this passage within the Consecration prayer:
Recite the following:
I, (Name), renounce satan and give myself entirely to Jesus Christ through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Dear Mary, I belong entirely to you, and all that I have is yours. I take you for my all. Mary, I give you my heart. O Mary, please give me your heart. I Consecrate to you, Mother Mary, my body and soul as well as my good deeds, both interior and exterior; and the value of my good actions past, present, and future. May my hands be the extended hands of Jesus and of you, Mary. May all be for the Glory of God. Amen.
Then say this abbreviated version of the Consecration. It is an entrustment to Mary who leads us to Jesus. The entrustment is repeated slowly three times and should ideally be read aloud:
I belong entirely to you, dear Mother, and all that I have is yours. O Mary, I take you for my all; give me your heart. Amen.
