Child Consecration

Day 2

Come, Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created;

R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. LET US PRAY.

O God, who didst teach the hearts of Thy faithful people by sending them the light of Thy Holy Spirit, grant us

by the same Spirit to have right judgement in all things, and evermore to rejoice in His holy comfort. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen

O Holy Spirit, sweet Guest of my soul, abide in me and grant that I may ever abide in Thee.

     We have a Heavenly Father who loves us. We are on a journey to reach our home, which is in Heaven. The time we spend on earth is a time of preparation to be ready to meet Our Heavenly Father face to face in Heaven after our time on earth is over. There are many roads to take throughout our life. Some are straight, while others are winding and steep. One could become lost on the journey. The Father with His heart overflowing  with  love for His children gave to them a Heavenly Mother.  It is to her that He entrusted His children. Our Blessed Mother loves us with tenderness and compassion. She is pure as a lily and full of wisdom. Through the grace  of God the Father, she can help children to find the straightest and smoothest path to our permanent home in Heaven. It is possible to reach Our Heavenly Father alone, but it is much more difficult and would take  much longer.

     In the story, “A Garden,” Daisy, in many ways, is like each of us. Her mother represents Our Blessed Mother who is a mother to each of us individually. Daisy is little as we are little. The goal is not to try to figure out all the things we do not know. Instead, it is to turn to Our Blessed Mother and give ourselves and all we have to her. She, in turn, presents this to God in the most pleasing way as she is without blemish and full of grace. Once we put ourselves and all we have under her protection, she will guide us on our journey. We also have to place our trust in her that she always will do the best for us and that her plans are united with the will of the Father in Heaven.

Goal: We are loved by God, and He gave us Our Blessed Mother to help us reach our true home in Heaven.
