Child Consecration

Day 32

Come, Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created;

R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. LET US PRAY.

O God, who didst teach the hearts of Thy faithful people by sending them the light of Thy Holy Spirit, grant us

by the same Spirit to have right judgement in all things, and evermore to rejoice in His holy comfort. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen

O Holy Spirit, sweet Guest of my soul, abide in me and grant that I may ever abide in Thee.

“Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.”

— John 17:11

     The Catechism teaches us, “The Trinity is One. We do not confess three Gods, but one God in Three Persons” (Catechism 253). We further know “God is love: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God freely wills to communicate the glory of His blessed life. Such is the ‘plan of His loving kindness’” (Catechism 257). As we discussed yesterday, Our Lady leads us to her Son, but since Jesus is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit, this Consecration journey leads us to be one with God in His Three Persons.

Goal: The Consecration journey ends with Jesus, and through Jesus we wish to be one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
